The policy of International Relations Office of University of Medicine - Pleven
is directed towards the coordination and
implementation of the activities of UM-Pleven related to the
process of European integration in education on institutional level.
Along these lines the activities of the Office may be summarized as
follows:
- Establishment and maintenance of international contacts of
University of Medicine - Pleven with foreign Institutions.
- Development of projects and administration of the participation
of University of Medicine - Pleven in international Programmes,
aimed at improving the quality of education and introduction of
European standards in Higher Education and particularly in medical
education.
- Gathering and dissemination of information and assistance for
the students and the teaching staff of UM-Pleven in participating
in international Exchange Programmes, Internships, scholarships for
education and professional qualification abroad.
- Establishment and maintenance of contacts with Universities
across Europe, cooperation in the field of medical education and
joint participation in scientific and research activities.
- Building up the image of UM-Pleven on international level and
strengthening its position
as a contemporary center for medical
education.
- Following and introduction of new international tendencies and
practices in the field of medical education.
